I haven't had a coke (those NOT from the south, that includes all "sodas") in nearly two months. I have dessert MAYBE twice a week. Yeah, that's right. I am totally kicking trash!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have started running. It's totally a love/hate thing with me. I am starting the couch to 5k program on Monday. I can't wait. I am going to sign up for the Provo Pioneer Memorial 10k/5k on July 24th. I love seeing the results of all my hard work! Thanks for the encouragement! The Wii and walking have really been great tools for me to use. I really do very well seeing my results whether I am seeing them on my body or on a screen. It makes me work harder. I have set up a "calorie burn" goal for everyday. I will gradually increase this goal to challenge myself more and more. I am walking everyday for about a mile and a half or more. It just feels better to be healthy. I have discovered I am NOT trying to "loose weight" I am trying to get healthy. Because it is EASY to loose health, but hard to get it back. Well, guess what, it's been only a week and I only have one pound to go! I love the Wii because I can see how long I have worked out, I can see how many calories I have burned and I can add outside activities and it tells me how many points that activity is worth. Next week it is supposed to be in the 50's all week! I am so excited! I am TIRED of the winter! I need some spring!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This summer we'll be doing a lot of camping. We just bought all the gear through Nemo. Google them. I am excited because that means LOTS of hiking! I can't wait! I am feeling better about myself, and despite the fact that my body is trying to get sick, I don't feel like I have been completely knocked out on my tush. I've started using it everyday. It's only been like 3 days, but I am already feeling inspired. It's awesome because I can see everything I do. I see how much time, how many calories, the pounds I lose. It's great. I get to do things like kickboxing and step, all from the comfort of my living room. And I get a little Wii character saying "Ohhh..." every time I step on the Wii board. We are setting a goal for each week to work out for a certain number of days. Just to exercise. Not worrying so much about how much weight we loose, just making sure we reach that goal to work out. I am really glad I have someone else to help push me who I can help push as well! It's pretty sweet!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Meanwhile, my jeans are fitting looser and looser everyday. It's a pretty great feeling. I am also starting to love the extra curves. I am still not quite a fan of the bosoms, they make my back hurt. But I do like being curvy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By the end of next month I would have liked to lost 10 pounds. It's getting warmer outside, so I can start heading out there too! Is it because it is winter and my body likes the extra insulation? I donno? If I could just loose 15-20 pounds I'd be really happy. I've been doing my exercises and eating right. Still hoovering. Maybe it's cause I am still nursing? I have heard you keep an extra 10 pounds or so when you nurse. Is this true? Any suggestions for me? I've been thinking about resorting to running up and down the stairs here at the house.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Any advice would be wonderful!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;P.S- I do realize my boobs have NOT shrunk. They are still stinking HUGE compared to before. Even though Will only nurses twice a day at MOST, they are still ginormous. And thus, if they do not shrink, I will still be about 5 pounds heavier then before I got pregnant. I need a tredmill. It's made me feel great. (Although, I still love my coca-cola!) Lots of whole or multi-grains, healthy snacks and fruits and veggies. At lunch I try to have salad with nuts, fruit and chicken in it. At dinner, since there is always someone else preparing the meal for us, I fill my plate with 2/3's full of salad and veggies. I don't deny myself either. If I want something sweet, I eat it with my meal. You will digest your dessert with your meal. I am going to exercise 3-4 times weekly. Even if it is just for 10 minutes a day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have been making goals that are too drastic. I do my "routine" for a week, then quit because I realize it's just not realistic. I can't exepct myself to work out for an hour everyday, espeically when I have a good book I am reading. So, working out 10-30 3-4 times a week and just eating better are my goals. My goal is to be healthy, (an smokin hot, as well) but I am not going to build up all this hope to looking great in a month or something. It's just not going to work like that for me. I worked out everyday for an hour in high school and college, but I had a gym, TIME, and FRIENDS to help support me. Now, I am on my own, working out to a dvd on my tv at home. Awesome. So, I'll take it slow. No drastic diets...yet. No drastic goals. Just work my way up to higher intervals. He's constantly giving me pep talks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"You can do it Mycah."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"What's stopping you, but yourself?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"I am sure you can find 30 minutes in your day to exercise."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Is he right? Of course.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But sometimes it's just funner to sit on the couch and watch "Wife Swap" sipping a nice, cold &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Coke&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I keep telling myself I will workout when I wake up at 630 to feed Will. But...I'm always &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;too&lt;/span&gt; tired.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then, I see a commercial, with a gorgeous woman, flat tummy and &lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;tiny&lt;/span&gt; waist.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I want to be healthy and &lt;span style="font-family: arial; font-style: italic;"&gt;cute&lt;/span&gt; again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I just want it to happen on it's own.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'll just have to muster up the energy and discipline to actually do it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh...and I am giving myself REALISTIC goals.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today's weight: 147. Working again has drained me. I would rather sleep.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I remain 7 pounds lighter then before and 7 pounds closer to my goal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am glad I've been able to MAINTAIN the weight and not gain anymore. (The bad thing about having someone else cook for me. I don't get to munch and half fill myself on the food before I eat the meal in it's completeness.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have discovered a new diet I will be trying when I am finished nursing Will. I feel so grumpy those days too. Just, well, drained.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today I did a double workout. I did a carido/sculpt and abs workouts. It was great feeling. Even though my son woke up before I was finished trying to get hot abs!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've been doing really well with my portions. I only have one normal size serving. And, of course, I still have a little something for desert :P You can't expect me to give up the sweets. Ha! It seems to be a trend around these parts. I start out strong, then completely give up. That is going to have to change.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Although I am struggling with self motivation, I just weighed myself. I told myself I would only weigh myself once a week. I now see why people become obsessed with the numbers on the scale...It's great to see when you have actually LOST weight!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just in the last week, of hardcore, everyday for an hour-an hour and a half, I have LOST 2 POUNDS! It feels great. I have felt great this past week. I find myself "glowing". I am starting to become happy with WHO I am. I am also starting to be exhilarated with the fact that if I can keep this up and be a healthy person, I will be setting a great example to my children. I want them to be active always.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; To reach my goal of losing 25 pounds, if I keep up with the "trend" of losing 2 pounds a week, I will reach my goal in 12 1/2 weeks! I have never liked scales. I always thought they were just for people who wanted to loose weight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then, I became one of those people. The one who needs to loose weight. I got one. When I got home, my husband said "Let's see how much we weigh!" Yeah, cause the first thing I want to do is see in numbers just how much I weigh in front of the hubby. So, we stood on it. My husband is a skinny guy. He can eat for four, but he's still just skinny. I weigh ten pounds more then he does! That's just great! Awesome right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I did my workout today. It was great! I could really feel the burn in my arms and legs. I was really, really sore the first time I ever did it. As I have kept up with it, I have already started noticing some definition in my arms, legs and stomach. I really feel that since I had my baby, my stomach is just so stretched out. Although, when I did my ab workout, I was pleasantly surprised at how strong my abs were. I guess pushing a baby out really is a good workout :P&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I'll be checking the numbers each week. Hopefully they go down instead of stay the same. I'll post periodic pictures and see if I can tell the difference. I'll also post my weight each week. See if the numbers go down.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am feeling so great everyday when I work out. I have been eating better, too!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remember, we can all do this! Being healthy is so important! It's hard, but everyday I work out, I feel great. It's my time to do something for me. If I can keep it up, imagine how my kids will grow up thinking. Being healthy is fun and great! I have always tried to stay fit. I'm not the self motivating type though. In high school, I stayed fit by taking the weight training class. That's right, I stayed fit and got graded on it. While I was in collage, I stayed fit by walking to my classes on campus and working at a daycare chasing little people around all day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When I got pregnant, I was still fairly active with my jobs...then I had to go on bed rest. And sit there with nothing but the TV and food in front of my face. I am definitely one of those people who eats out of being board.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'll go ahead and say it, I gained 50 pounds while being pregnant. I went from 125 before my pregnancy to 175 in EIGHT short months. That's right. During the first few weeks I did drop about 25 pounds. I suppose that was mostly water weight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Soon after Will was born, and the weather started getting nice again, I started walking around the block. It was three miles to walk from my door, around the block and back to my door. It was great. I was feeling awesome. Then, I started losing my milk supply. I was nursing my sweet little baby and the last thing I wanted was to loose my precious milk. So, I stopped working out. Started taking an herb called Fenugreek and worked on building up my supply again. I had lost about 10 pounds.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now that Will is eight months old. Now that I am tired of being "frumpy." I am going to lose the weight! I am going to find fun, creative and TASTY ways in losing the weight. His work outs are GREAT. Andy can already notice a difference in my "Aura". I am loving how working out is making me feel AMAZING!
